The Tribal Experience is a tour company with one specific focus: exposing interested travelers to the worlds least visited and most traditional tribal peoples. Total immersion is the way we operate, getting you as far into the world of the tribe to gain as vivid an impression of their lives as possible, and at the same time reciprocating the tribal peoples with an encounter of equal reward.

Mr. Chris Solic, owner and tour leader, has ventured through much of Asia’s least explored, most primitive tribal locales, living and learning with the locals as to just what it is that makes them tick. “When I was younger, I thought the problems and riddles besieging the modern world would be answered in these tribe’s detached existences. However I’ve learned that they, like us, are human; that is, they suffer as many – some different, some not – dilemmas we westerners do. Of course, the products of a fascinating lifestyle so opposite from ours are rich; there is much to learn from them, sometimes in something as simple as a smile.

“What first surprised me was how keen these remote tribal people were on meeting foreign tourists, though I soon realized why. They know so little about our countries, our ways of living and our general behavior up close that these rare opportunities to meet and spend time with us, on their own turf, is for them as great a satisfaction, if not more, than it is for us! That’s what got me started on The Tribal Experience.”
